º They will learn how to manage their checking and savings accounts, credit cards, and stock portfolios
º Your students will practice what you learn in class before using their real money
º It’s free, and it’s super fun – they can compete with their colleagues and practice your knowledge in an interactive game!
º Trading is open from the beginning of each month to the end of each of month. Challenges restart every month.
º Students may trade US stocks and ETFs, and US mutual funds, and bonds
º Students manage a $10,000 virtual portfolio at the beginning of every challenge.
º Weekly deposits of $100 will be distributed for students to begin trading on Monday mornings
º There is no minimum price for stocks
º Students may short-sell and buy on margin.
º Students may day trade
º Students may only invest 25% of their portfolio in any one security.
º Each student is allowed only one entry.
º Students can play the Budget Game from the beginning of each month to the end of each of month.
Challenges restart every month.
º The game includes 30 days of gameplay where students manage their bills and expenses.
º They start as students with part-time jobs, and after 2 weeks they graduate and take on full-time jobs.
º Students earn the most amount of points for meeting their weekly savings goals
Optional Completion Certificate
º It’s not obligatory for students to complete all the lessons to be eligible for prizes.
º For students who want to learn more, the included curriculum comprises 86 individual assignments on investing and personal finance.
º Each lesson includes a pop quiz at the end with 3-5 questions.
º Students are required to get 100% on all quizzes to earn the completion certificate.
º Students are able to retake quizzes to improve their score.
